AIS International School was founded on a vision one rooted in purpose, passion, and a commitment to accessible excellence. In early 2007, Dr. Mahmoud, alongside the late Dr. Yassin Yahya Yassin, envisioned a school in Kuala Lumpur that would deliver high quality, English medium education at an affordable cost. This vision was further strengthened by a group of highly qualified international educators, all united by a shared aspiration to provide the best possible education for their children.<\/p>\n

By mid 2007, that vision began to take shape with the establishment of the school\u2019s first campus on Jalan Damai. Though modest in size at 1,700m\u00b2, the campus was thoughtfully designed to be more than just a place of learning, it was a nurturing environment that felt like home.<\/p>\n

In July 2007, AIS International School officially opened its doors, offering a unique blend of western style education through the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, enriched with strong values. The inaugural cohort consisted of 70 students representing 12 nationalities, marking the beginning of a truly diverse and globally minded community.<\/p>\n

Growth followed swiftly. By 2008, the school had expanded its academic offerings, and by 2011, the increasing student population led to a major milestone, the relocation to a larger, purpose-built campus on Jalan Bellamy in Bukit Petaling. Set on a 1.3 acre site, the new campus featured enhanced facilities, including a swimming pool and sports facilities , supporting both academic and holistic development.<\/p>\n

The journey of expansion continued. By 2013, AIS had grown to accommodate 600 students following the acquisition of neighboring premises. In 2014, the establishment of a Cambridge primary assessment centre further strengthened its academic standing, complementing its existing Cambridge programs.<\/p>\n

AIS has always embraced innovation. As early as 2015, smartboard technology was introduced to enrich classroom experiences and support modern teaching methodologies. By 2019, the school had evolved into a vibrant international community of students from 46 nationalities, each contributing to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.<\/p>\n

During the global challenges of 2020\u20132022, AIS demonstrated resilience and adaptability by seamlessly transitioning to hybrid learning models. By integrating physical and digital education, the school ensured uninterrupted learning while continuing to uphold its standards of excellence.<\/p>\n

Today, AIS International School stands as a testament to its founding vision, growing, evolving, and inspiring future generations.
