How to apply

At AIS International School, the admissions process is thoughtfully structured to be inclusive, efficient, and welcoming, aimed at building a dynamic and diverse learning community. The school seeks to enrol students who will contribute positively to its academic environment and culture. Admissions are open throughout the year on a rolling basis, depending on availability of places. This flexibility allows students to begin their journey at AIS either at the start of a term or during the academic year, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted transition. From the point of enquiry through to enrolment, families are guided with care and clarity. Every student joining AIS is warmly received and supported, ensuring a confident start within a nurturing and engaging school environment.

Step 1 - Application Submission

Prospective families may submit the application either online or directly at the school. A completed application form must be accompanied by all required supporting documents, in accordance with the official document checklist.

Step 2: Review & Student Assessment

Upon receipt, the application will undergo an initial review by the Admissions Team. Suitable applicants will be invited to attend an age-appropriate assessment, which may include classroom interaction, a short interview, and basic evaluations in English and Mathematics. This process enables the school to better understand the student’s academic readiness and overall suitability for placement.

Placement decisions are made holistically, taking into consideration the student’s academic background, developmental readiness, and overall wellbeing, ensuring alignment with the most appropriate year level.

Step 3: Offer of Admission

Following a comprehensive review of the application and assessment outcomes, a formal Letter of Offer will be issued to successful applicants. Confirmation of enrolment is secured upon acceptance of the offer and completion of the required registration and deposit payments within the stipulated timeframe.

Step 4: Enrolment & School Integration

Once enrolment is confirmed, the school facilitates a structured onboarding process to support a seamless transition. Families are provided with guidance on orientation, uniforms, academic materials, and transportation arrangements where applicable. The Admissions Team remains available to assist with all necessary preparations, ensuring that each student begins their journey at AIS with confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of belonging.

Schedule An Assessment

  • Preschool students and their parents will join our EYC team for either a one-hour in-person taster session or an informal online interview.

  • Primary school students will sit for a writing test (English, Mathematics, and Science) set by the primary school, which can be completed either in-person or virtually.

  • Secondary student applicants (Grade 7-10) will sit for an assessment which can be completed either in-person or virtually. They may be required to sit an interview with our academic team.
